Conquering Your Anxiety Concerning a Surgery

Understanding how to help your body recover and bounce back after any surgery can positively affect your recovery time. Every athlete needs an offseason to recover. It usually happens about once a year and will last anywhere between 1 and 3 months. After working hard for so many months, bodies tend to accumulate aches and pains that don't seem to go away. Athletes learn how to care for them to work another day. This care usually only dulls the pain, not heal it. Runners, for instance, can run for months on a throbbing knee. They learn the best ways to apply pressure and ice it to ease the inflammation, but the rigors of the season don't allow it to heal entirely with proper rest.
